"Right" Decisions with Tammy Moye Johnson

Providing tools and strategies to not make just "a" decision but the "right" decision

Know Your Worth

My dear sisters, do you know your worth? Not only are many of you impacting your immediate circle (whether it is with your immediate family, work-family, or church family) but many of you are vital & instrumental in raising women and men to impact society and the Kingdom of God. Your son might be the next Martin Luther King, Jr. (whose mother taught school until she married and then became heavily involved in her church as she raised her children). Martin Luther King Jr. gave tribute to his mother in an essay when he stated that she was behind the scenes setting forth those motherly cares, the lack of which leaves a missing link in life. Perhaps, you are that “behind the scenes “mom. What you are storing in your children is invaluable!

The enemy would have those individuals who have not birthed a child to question their worth. Instead of focusing on the impact as a mother at heart, the enemy wants those individuals to focus on the fact that there must be something wrong. Why haven’t I had a child to raise yet? Let me encourage you to think about the individuals you have loved and nurtured in your circle. If you say, you cannot think of anyone, let me encourage you to start giving that love to some child today; there are plenty of organizations where you can volunteer to be a mentor or a big sister.

Don’t believe the lies! You are fearfully and wonderfully made. The Lord God knows the plans He has for you and it is to prosper you and give you a future and hope.

Today, Mother's Day, is a day set aside to honor mothers- those who are physically mothers and those mothers at the heart. It is amazing what God has stored in us! Thank you for all that you do as you impact the world for the Kingdom of God.

An Unsaved Spouse

Posted on May 24, 2020 at 8:00 AM Comments comments (1987)

During the taping of Having a Purpose Driven Marriage, an audience member asked the Right Decisions' panel, " How do you win [over] an unsaved spouse?"

When I think of this question, I think of Smith Wigglesworth's wife, Polly.   Let me explain, Smith Wigglesworth, who was a British evangelist, is known for numerous, thousands of divine healings.   Christ used Wigglesworth's Ministry to heal people instantly from cancer, tumors dropping, etc.  Wigg...

Trusting God in the Midst of a Pandemic

Psalm 91:2 “…my God: in HIM will I trust”

written by guest blogger Nehemiah Johnson

Spiritual understanding of trust in God means to not have been corrupted through the acquiring of knowledge of another.

Through subtle deception, the church, in general, unknowingly partakes from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, as oppose to only the tree of life (Christ), as God intends. For instance, holding fast to ideological re...

FASTING

Posted on January 24, 2019 at 4:40 AM Comments comments (1541)

January is a time that many people and churches go on a fast. If you are fasting, be mindful that it is not just the abstaining or refraining from something, but more importantly it is the spending more time with God. Fasting is a time dedicated to reading the Bible more and praying more. Fasting is not doing your normal routine while not eating. It has to be different routine. We are consecrating ourselves before the Lord, spending more time with Him, spirit to Spirit.

Palm Sunday

I know on this Palm Sunday the world has received some tragic news, some very evil news that has taken place in God’s House. Please understand we have always had and will always have good and evil. We have had bombings in churches and killings in churches throughout time. Let’s choose to focus on good and not evil. Let’s not be distracted from the works of the enemy. Let’s continue to pray for those who have been impacted and let us revisited the significance o...

Dressing Modestly

Posted on April 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM Comments comments (539)

I am sure some parents are still talking with their children about saving themselves (remaining a virgin) until marriage (another topic to write about ), but how many parents are discussing dressing modestly?

If we do not discuss dressing modestly or covering up certain body parts with our daughters, then we are leaving it to the world to show them how to dress.

We can't leave it to the stores, media, or society in general to say what is appropriate and what is not.
